Scented Candle – Juniper

Juniper, or “einir” in Icelandic, has long held a cherished place in Icelandic Christmas traditions.  In earlier times, juniper was burned as incense to cleanse the home and ward off misfortune during the dark days of December. It's evergreen branches were also used for decoration, symbolizing protection and the enduring green of life through the harshest season. Today, the fragrance of juniper still fills homes during Christmas, linking modern celebrations to the deep-rooted customs of Iceland’s past.
